Hello kitty cats!
Even though I didn’t have much time this week to work on posts, I am well and alive. When I’m not awkwardly dancing to U Can’t Touch This in my dorm room, I am actually attending lectures and living London to the fullest.
I have attended the consumer fashion industry event, London Fashion Weekend last week and had the chance to capture and analyse all new fall/winter trends which I adored. I’m sure you will too.
I love midi skirts (honestly don’t know if this is considered midi). This one is from Topshop Petite and is one of my favourite skirts. Edgy but comfy. Tilly here, went for the Kim K look and chose to go all nude. Love it.
The LFWE was such a good opportunity to shop with insider prices. When I say insider prices, I mean %50 off, if not more. We bought matching black bomber jackets and Love Bullets, which were made of actual bullets combined with crystals. I never take it off.
In order to get into the mood, I am listening to Karma Chameleon by Culture Club. Yes, we’re going that retro. It means that flares, florals, dungarees, fringy items and going all denim is back. So whether you’re a mother or whether you’re a brother, if you like the 70s, you’re stayin’ alive.
Here we’re going more towards the 80s with the all leather stapled jackets, and I’m pretty sure that Doc Martens are back for good. This season, the society can’t put any labels other than “trendy” on you just because you’re wearing all black. Either pair it with a dark lipstick like I do or go mad with eye make-up. It’s your choice. You can do anything. You have a free spirit.
- ANIMAL PRINTS
Nothing screams RAWR like these items from Topshop. If you haven’t already, go get yourself some animal prints and feel the power running through your veins.
I believe that LFWE was a nice experience for me to get to know London Fashion environments and learn about current trends. It sure has changed the way I shop.
Since we had an ABC- Anything But Clothes party in our dorm bar this weekend, I made a dress out of a bin-bag and a fellow dorm friend challenged me to post it here, so here you go Charlie. I don’t think it looks as bad as I thought it would.
