How To Go On An Adventure

Being adventurous isn’t about hiking up the Everest or getting “wanderlust” tattooed on your arm. It’s about always having a will to explore, even if it’s a different continent or just across the bridge. Today, we took Karakoy; one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Istanbul. Though I can’t deny the fact that I kind of already miss Camden, it feels good to be home. Here are the details from our fun day in Karakoy: Venue Karakoy wouldn’t be Karakoy without old men sitting on the corner of the picture. The best thing about these streets is that it is both historic and hipsteresque. I sincerely hope that this ambiance won’t be totally destructed when big companies realise that Karakoy is a money-making opportunity. 4 Things We MUST Leave Behind in 2015

As I was browsing Teen Vogue, I saw an article stating we’re leaving almost every beauty trend that was in this year… well, behind. There were, I must admit, some that I liked from that list. So here, I will attempt on replacing them with what I think should be “in” in 2016. 2016, my friends, will be the year of simplicity. OUT: Crazy Contouring Well… about time. To be honest, I do love contouring on special occasions but how far can you go? I can’t help but think, when I look in the mirror with different coloured lines all over my face, “what the f*ck.”. Is there a pattern? Audrey Always one of my favourites. Flawless both style and personality-wise. Would have loved to stroll around Paris with Audrey, in cropped man pants and black flats, bold eyebrows, typing a short story on a typewriter. Obviously, my…

(A)live in the Present

“Grow up you’re nearly twenty five.” The words echo through my ears in a dark London morning, 7.47 to be exact, as I listen to Franz Ferdinand while watching the sun rise above the suburban houses from the blurry tube window. My first ever term is over and I’m on the way to get on a big jet plane and go home. As the houses slowly wither away, I’m desperate to catch some final glances of the city I live in, even if it’s just a sad tree or a curtain being pulled. Life consists of moments. Yet we never seem to acknowledge them before they end. I look back on memories via photos, old text messages or words scribbled on the corner of a notebook. I look back with a deep sense of happiness,…
